History of LMA (Continued)
Oct. 7-8, 2005 - The nine Texas District LCMS congregations met in Keller, TX and unanimously passed the model resolution to:
1) form an alliance of churches who share the theological concerns expressed in the Consensus Document,
2) express dissent on Synodical resolutions that depart from orthodox Lutheran teaching (res. 3-09-04, Women in the Church, for violating the doctrine of the order of creation; res. 8-01-04A, Ecclesiastical Supervision, for violating the Lutheran principle that sheep judge their shepherds; res. 3-06-04A, Civic Events, for giving an ambiguous answer to the important issue of syncretism and unionism),
3) support, develop, and organize educational programs and events for congregations who wish to remain faithful to the doctrinal heritage of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and
4) begin the process of forming an alliance to plant new congregations that share these values and concerns.
