History of LMA (Continued)

Feb. 17-18, 2006 -  The Voters’ Assemblies of other churches passed the same resolution and 15 congregations sent pastoral and lay delegates as voting members to the second meeting in North Zulch, TX. Several congregations sent non-voting delegates and observers as well. President Bill Brandt led the meetings which developed and adopted a basic organizational structure. Besides the Executive Committee, the following committees were formed:

The basic membership resolution underwent minor modifications, which do not require re-approval by member congregations. A new model resolution was also passed which asks the Voters’ Assemblies of member congregations to pledge mutual support. Passage of this resolution is encouraged but is not mandatory for membership.
