History of LMA (Continued)

May 19-20, 2006 - LMA representatives met at Zion Lutheran Church in Tomball, TX to discuss progress toward goals. As of this meeting, most of the committees were  functional but more volunteers for the committees are needed.  Some highlights of the Zion Lutheran meeting include:

    1) The Doctrine committee moved and the assembly adopted three statements for study and review by member congregations. Congregations should submit the results of their discussions to the Doctrine Committee no later than September 15, 2006.

    2) The Education Committee proposed a pulpit exchange. Most members are interested in participating.

    3) The website is up and running though still under construction and improvement.
