The Alliance met November 14-15, 2008 and continued forward in its goal of supporting and starting mission congregations that are confessional, liturgical, catechetical and faithful. The treasurer-pro-tem of the LMA reports an increasing balance. There are a few regular congregation and many individual supporters. Though attendance was again low, but some decisions were made. The Executive Committee, particularly Rev. Simcak, continues to reach out to mission minded confessionals with invitations to join LMA. The Communication Committee reported the web page: www.l-m-a.org will soon be updated, since the web steward has received new software as a gift. The fourth issue of LMA News is in the pre-publication stage. It was delayed because the first issue of The Remnant was delayed. It is published by volunteers. The chair reported that The Remnant was published and mailed. Rev. Patrick Erickson is the editor. It is being commercially published. Rev. Robert LeBlanc reported on the challenges at Our Redeemer in Palacios because of the apparent change in attitude toward nuclear power in the next administration. Their VBS and Colors of Christ Halloween programs continue to increase. They will need help with VBS. A 2009 Budget was the same as 2008 except that LMA raised support for Our Redeemer to $500 per month, keeping Living Savior at the same level. Pr. Teichmiller presented a paper on women's partnership in congregational leadership. Quite a bit of discussion followed.
