Congregational Membership Resolution

(Please pass, copy, sign and send a copy of the following to Lutheran Mission Alliance, 5013 Church Lane, North Zulch, TX  77872 in order that your pastor and lay delegate may  participate fully as voters in the regularly scheduled meetings of the Lutheran Mission Alliance. )  

Whereas, ________________________Lutheran Church of ___________________,____, out of deep concern for the theological direction taken by our church body, resolves to:

1. Initiate an alliance of congregations in our synod who share the theological concerns expressed in the statement known as the Consensus Document (www.consensuslutheran.org), and

2.  Support, develop, and organize educational programs and events for congregations (pastors, teachers, youth, etc) who wish to remain faithful to the doctrinal heritage of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and

3. Join the process of forming a Lutheran confessional mission alliance to plant new congregations which share these values and concerns, especially in areas where such churches do not presently exist.
