Latest Report on Montgomery Lutheran Mission

Warm greetings to you all on this cold January 2008 evening.  I trust that you had a wonderful Christmas and are starting off the New Year with the promise of a year filled with blessings from God.

Every day seems to come and go very quickly, so I find myself sending this update to you late in the evening.  The Lord has truly blessed us during these opening weeks at Montgomery Lutheran Church.  Here is a summary of the last three services:

Please continue to pray for this new church in Montgomery as we move forward in the year 2008.  Especially pray for the mini-retreat that will take place this Sunday from Bible Class time until about 4:00 as we plan for the year to come; consider ways to reach out to the Montgomery community; put volunteers in place for various areas of service and organize an informal church council.

Also, I want to request that you pray for me and my family in particular during these days, weeks and months ahead.  When God is accomplishing his will through his people, the devil tries to step in and throw His weak servants off by attacking them at their weakest points.  Pray for strength and protection for us as we experience both the blessings and the trials of seeing this new church develop during the year to come.
